Local Testing This National HIV Testing Week

National HIV Testing Week is a campaign which runs from 5 - 11 February, to promote regular testing amongst the most affected population groups.

In Greater Manchester, more than 6,379 people are thought to be living with HIV, with an estimated 5% unaware they may have it.  The National HIV Testing Week promotes regular testing among the most affected population groups – helping to reduce the number of people living with undiagnosed HIV and those diagnosed late.

This year, the campaign returns with a new strapline, ‘I Test.’ across all National HIV Testing Week materials, replacing ‘Give HIV The Finger’, which has been in place for the previous five years.

The PaSH (Passionate about Sexual Health) partnership is working in a collaboration between BHA for Equality (formally known as the Black Health Agency), George House Trust, and the LGBT Foundation to raise awareness and increase HIV testing in different community venues across Greater Manchester.
