Creative Support
Creative Support are a not-for-profit organisation who promote the independence, inclusion and wellbeing of people with care and support needs. They do this by working with the people they support, their families and partner agencies to deliver services to meet individual needs and aspirations.
They provide services and support for people with:
- learning disabilities
- autism and mental health needs
- physical disabilities
- dementia
They also support older people with their care needs.
- supported living
- residential care
- community support
- respite services
- domiciliary care
They're also a major provider of supported housing many of which have been adapted to individual needs.
The supported living services they offer for people with a learning disability are recognised for enabling people to enjoy fulfilling lives.

Deaf Rainbow
Deaf Rainbow UK provide information and resources for the Deaf LGBTIQA+ community. As we all know, the LGBTIQA+ community have endured oppression and harassment for years, and still do. Deaf LGBTIQA+ people are an even smaller minority with an added layer of audism; this lead to the Deaf LGBTIQA+ UK Facebook group, which is still running. A whole bunch of Deaf LGBTIQA+ people got together, and created a website especially. Should you need advice around parenting, surrogacy, your mental health, sexual health or your own sexuality, the team are there to support you.

Disability Stockport
Disability Stockport work hard to support and deliver services that will help those living with disabilities. They do this by keeping up to date with issues that matter, listening and responding to your needs, standing up for equal treatment and more. At Disability Stockport your views (and those of your family or carer) are important to them.
Also working in partnership with Disability Stockport is Stockport CIL, who are dedicated to providing support to those who wish to live independently. They support individuals through a range of services including; Peer Support, Carer Support, Group & Individual Activities

Independent options
Independent Options works to empower people with disabilities, enabling them to take control of their lives, achieve their aspirations and enjoy life to the full.
They offer a range of highly personalised support services for children and adults who have a wide range of disabilities. They work with people who have learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, acquired brain injuries and mental health needs.
Independent Options understands that society places barriers in the way of people with disabilities and those who love and care for them. However, with the right support, families and carers are able to cope better and people with disabilities can reach their potential and lead fulfilling lives.
They offer a range of services including accommodation and support, including flexible placements, short breaks, activities, supported living and a children and family centre.

The Together Trust
The Together Trust's team offer free, confidential support to parents and carers of children and young people, and directly to young people aged 16 to 25 in Stockport who have or may have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

Seashell Trust
Seashell is a national charity who are proud to have Her Majesty The Queen as Patron. Seashell supports children and young people with complex learning difficulties, disabilities and additional communication needs from across the UK. They provide education, care and support for people aged 2 to 25 years, at their school and college, their 17 residential homes, community facilities as well as through services beyond their Cheadle Hulme site.

Stockport Advocacy
The Stockport Total Advocacy trust was formed in 2004 as a result of a successful funding bid to the Department of Health on the back of the White Paper ‘Valuing People’. This paper acknowledged that many people with learning disabilities are pushed to the margins of society. Therefore, people with learning disabilities living in Stockport have been our priority for advocacy support.
Stockport Advocacy are an independent, not-for-profit organisation set up to provide advocacy support for adults over 16 with learning difficulties / disabilities who live within the Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council area. This means enabling your voice to be heard, speaking for you when you can’t and supporting you when you can. Stockport Advocacy is about supporting, enabling, empowering you to express your views and concerns, and access information and services where needed.

Walthew House
Walthew House is an independent charity in Stockport that provides practical and emotional support to people who are blind, visually impaired, deaf, hard of hearing or who have dual sensory loss. Walthew House works with people and organisations in the community to provide practical and emotional support including general help and advice, support making calls, assistance if you've been discriminated against due to your sight or hearing loss, courses to help you get the most of everyday life, activities and a free sight loss counselling service.
