Stockport libraries closed due to Coronavirus - more information on downloading ebooks

In line with guidance from Central Government and Public Health England relating to Social Distancing and the Coronavirus Stockport libraries have taken the difficult decision to close all their Libraries.

In line with guidance from Central Government and Public Health England relating to Social Distancing and the Coronavirus Stockport libraries have taken the difficult decision to close all their Libraries.
 

You can still borrow books, magazines and newspapers on-line. Visit their website and/or downloads the apps. https://www.stockport.gov.uk/ebooks-and-audiobooks

Do-It-On Line:

You can renew your books on-line and get up to date information about libraries on their website www.stockport.gov.uk/libraries

They have suspended their fines policy so don’t worry if you cannot renew or return – you will not be charged.

Join the Library

Go to www.stockport.gov.uk/libraries and select join your local library – https://www.stockport.gov.uk/join-your-local-library/how-to-join-a-library

From here complete the online form and you will be provided with a temporary borrower number and 4 digit PIN. Please make it something memorable as you will need this to sign into access our online services.

These work on Apple, Android or Kindle devices, including Kindle Fire.
