CCG News Release

News Release from NHS Stockport CCG

The new ways of working will help make services more joined-up so people get better care and are the result of the Government White Paper, ‘Integration and Innovation: working together to improve health and social care for all’. The proposals include health and care services working more closely together through new organisations called Integrated Care Systems (ICS’s).

Anyone that lives or works in Stockport is invited to take part in a survey to help us understand what they would like to know about the changes in Stockport and how they would like to hear this information. Feedback collected from this survey will be used to help decide how to share this information with patients, members of the public as well as members of staff.

One of the aims of this survey is to find out what people currently know about Integrated Care Systems (ICS's) which are due to become live on Friday, July 1, 2022.  For more detailed information on Integrated Care Systems and the new ways of working in Stockport please visit:  www.stockportccg.nhs.uk/about-us/integrated-care-systems-a-new-way-of-working/

Anita Rolfe, Interim Accountable Officer of NHS Stockport CCG, said:

"The future of health and care in our local area is changing for the better. We are committed to making improvements to the way health and care services are designed, planned and delivered.

“To do this effectively, we need the help and involvement of local people, so I would urge everyone to take part in the survey and share with friends and family. Feedback collected from this survey will be used to help share information on the new ways of working with patients, members of the public and those who work in the borough.”

The survey opens on Thursday, 5 May, 2022 and closes on Thursday, 12 May, 2022. The survey can be accessed here:  https://consultation.stockport.gov.uk/stockport-ccg/survey-to-help-prepare-and-share-information-for-t
