Menopause Awareness Training

New dates have been added throughout October for Stockport and District Minds increasingly popular Menopause Awareness Training.

The sessions have been organised as part of a collaborative project with the four other Minds in Greater Manchester.

The FREE sessions aim to support employees, volunteers and managers of small to medium-sized enterprises (SME) across Stockport and the rest of Greater Manchester.

An SME is any organisation that has fewer than 250 employees and a turnover of less than 50 million or a balance sheet total less than 43 million.

The next dates for our Menopause Awareness courses are as follows:

Menopause Awareness for Employees:

An online 90-minute workshop that's interactive and practical. The course offers ideas and tools to build confidence to support people in this important transitional life stage. Supporting Employees through the Menopause (managers session)

Fairer Health for All Fellowship

Message from Alison Wheatley, Population health, Greater Manchester Integrated Care:

EXCITING NEWS! Applications for the Fairer Health for All Fellowship programme are now open!

Do you work in community and/or Primary Care settings and are passionate about improving health inequalities in Greater Manchester?

Do you have an idea for how we can create fairer health?

Join the Fellowship and spend one day a week (backfill available) developing your knowledge and skills in population health, equality and sustainability, and put your learning into practice through your self-chosen project.

Homes for Ukraine Host Recruitment Event

The Homes for Ukraine team and Stockport Homes are holding an event. This session is to recruit new host families, to host refugees that are still fleeing the war in Ukraine.

We would like to invite people who are interested to attend the session.

The event will take place on Thursday the 2nd of November, Starting at 4pm at Stockport Homes, 2 Edward Street, Stockport.

Refreshments will be provided.

CAN Summit

The third annual CAN summit will take place on Friday 3rd November at Stockport's Guildhall. We'd love for you to join us for another information-packed, interactive day to consider four key topics facing Stockport in our journey to tackle climate change. The CAN Summit is a day for all residents, young people, businesses and communities to come together to celebrate and grow climate action. Tickets are free and are available to book here: https://cansummit2023.eventbrite.co.uk

This year, the CAN summit forms part of our first ever Climate Action Now week. The week features the launch of this year's Schools Climate Assembly, nature at libraries, climate change training for businesses and communities and ends with our CAN summit on the Friday.
