New therapeutic workshops at Signpost

We wanted to let you know about three upcoming workshops which you can now book places for:

Therapeutic Workshop: Living with Loss

This workshop offers you an opportunity to meet others through a blend of therapeutically themed support and peer-led discussions on the subject of grief and loss. The workshop is led by trained therapists who ensure each session contains a mix of therapeutic and social support. Meet and share experiences, opinions and thoughts in a safe and structured environment. Themes explored in the sessions are emotions and feelings, support and self-care, key dates and continuing bonds.

Tuesdays, 10am - 12pm at the Heatons Centre, for five consecutive weeks beginning on Tuesday 21st November.

In order to attend this workshop, you must be able to attend all five sessions. We do not recommend attending if your loss is less than six months ago.

Therapeutic Workshop: Understanding and improving sleep

We often hear from carers that sleep is an issue. This workshop is designed to help you understand and improve your sleep. Led by trained therapists, the following themes will be explored: the importance of sleep, causes of sleep issues, identifying causes of sleep issues, good sleep practice and strategies.

Friday 1st December, 10am - 12pm at the Heatons Centre

Therapeutic Workshop: Myths and Realities of Self-Harm

Led by the charity Battle Scars, this one-hour online session will be a free flowing Q&A style opportunity for you to learn more about self-harm. We will explore the complexity of self-harm, look at dispelling some of the common myths and have a discussion focusing on the areas that mostly affect the participants.

Thursday 14th December, 10am - 11am on Zoom

If you would like to discuss any of the workshops in more detail, please contact our Counselling Manager, Victoria, at victoria@signpostforcarers.org.uk
