Get to know who’s who at your GP practice

Message from NHS Greater Manchester Integrated Care:

A new campaign has been launched to raise awareness of the new roles which now form part of many general practice (GP) teams.

It features health professionals working in Greater Manchester, who are part of multi-disciplinary teams, who explain their roles and how they can support patients.

Services in general practice and the community are being transformed to make it easier for patients to access a wider range of help from general practice, closer to home by phone or online. The general practice team has expanded to include a wide range of healthcare professionals who work alongside GPs and nurses to ensure patients receive the care they need as quickly as possible. This includes Clinical Pharmacists, Physiotherapists, Paramedics, Physician Associates, Mental Health Therapists, Social Prescribing Link Workers and many more.

Over 1600 staff have now been recruited into new roles in Greater Manchester as part of the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme and they have already made a real impact in general practice and in the community delivering care to patients.

Noise Academy Sessions

Noise Academy is an independent organisation that delivers arts like DJ Skills, Music production, Rapping/ Writing/structuring and Beatboxing using the most high-quality equipment.

We are currently working with a number of organisations throughout the UK, such as Elysium Care, MAC community Care and Barnardos to name a few. We have recently partnered up with a music studio in Stockport and will be delivering sessions from Monday 30th October.

Our current offer is a FREE 1.5 hour taster session for new students. Through our fully inclusive approach, we can tailor our sessions to meet the specific needs, age, or ability of each student.

Please see below.

At Noise Academy we provide uniquely tailored DJ and music production courses to engage, motivate and support mental well-being for those suffering from a variety of mental health challenges. Our aim is to provide guidance to help individuals unlock their musical potential as well as support them with their personal development.

Through our mentoring sessions, whether it be 1:1 or small groups we aim to help our students to develop on a social and emotional level giving them the tools they need to re-engage in other parts of their lives. Our sessions can have a positive impact on students’ development across all areas such as social skills, communication, confidence and sensory processing, as well as give them a creative pathway to express themselves and channel their emotions in a positive way, ultimately reducing stress and improving emotional and behavioural problems
