Creative Support are a not-for-profit organisation who promote the independence, inclusion and wellbeing of people with care and support needs. They do this by working with the people they support, their families and partner agencies to deliver services to meet individual needs and aspirations.

They provide services and support for people with:

  • learning disabilities
  • autism and mental health needs
  • physical disabilities
  • dementia

They also support older people with their care needs.

  • supported living
  • residential care
  • community support
  • respite services
  • domiciliary care

They're also a major provider of supported housing many of which have been adapted to individual needs.

The supported living services they offer for people with a learning disability are recognised for enabling people to enjoy fulfilling lives.

Dementia Roadmap

Dementia roadmap offer information about useful local and national resources and support groups that promote living well with dementia. Their aim is to help people living with dementia and their carers, staff involved in the care for people with dementia and people worried about their memory.

On their website you will find various topics and resources including a range of tools to help you, a list of local groups and national support groups and activities and more.

Dementia Carer Advice and Support Service

The Dementia Carer Advice and Support Service (DCASS), works closely with Pennine Care's memory service to ensure that carers of people with dementia are better informed and supported throughout their caring journey.

Right at home

Right at Home are a local homecare provider delivering personal care and specialist Alzheimers and Dementia support for you or your loved one when you need it most. Right at Home delivers care in Didsbury, the Heatons, Gatley, Cheadle, Offerton, Bredbury, Reddish and Stockport

Right at Home recruit and train CareGivers with a passion for helping people in our community. Their preferred visits are a minimum of one hour, so time can be given to provide quality care that isn't rushed and is driven by positive outcomes rather than simply by need.

If you or a loved one are looking for high-quality companionship, personal care, assistance with medication, meal preparation, specialist dementia care or any other complex medical conditions, get in touch. Office hours are 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday.

The Dementia Action Alliance

The Dementia Action Alliance brings together organisations across England committed to transforming health and social care outcomes for people affected by dementia. Stockport Dementia Action Alliance was reformed in October 2016 following plans for the local dementia friendly communities movement. Everything they do is in partnership, and informed by people living with dementia, and those that care for them.

If you're looking for advice and information, Dementia UK provides specialist support through their Dementia helpline from their dementia Admiral nurses. The helpline is open from 9am to 9pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 5pm on Saturday to Sunday.
